Podcast RSS Feed Requirements

To be considered valid by podcast directories, Podcast RSS feeds require certain elements. Without these elements, your feed may be rejected upon submission or your previously published show may be removed from the directory. 

Required Feed Details

  • Podcast Cover Image
    • Square, 1400x1400px to 3000x3000px, .JPG or .PNG file format, RGB colorspace, 1MB or less 
  • Podcast Title
  • Podcast Description
  • Podcast Categories
  • Website

Episode Requirements

One published episode with a supported file type (or trailer)

How can I validate my podcast RSS feed?

Tools like CastFeedValidator are helpful in determining if your feed is valid and ready for podcast directory submission.
